Samuel Carmichael

Hi, I’m Samuel Carmichael. I’m 21 years old and a senior at Oral Roberts University, majoring in Business Administration. I’m passionate about leadership, organization, and finding ways to serve people and ministries so they can operate with excellence.

Currently, I serve as the Director of Operations at North Church, where I manage logistics, events, and day-to-day operations. This role has challenged me to grow as a leader and has deepened my heart for service and stewardship in ministry. Being part of a team that’s focused on impact and transformation has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey so far.

I’m also the fourth child of Dr. John Carmichael, and growing up in a ministry family has had a huge influence on my life. It instilled in me the importance of faith, discipline, and living with purpose. My relationship with God is the center of everything I do, and I’ve learned to lean into Him in every area of life.

One of the places I feel closest to God is out in nature. Whether I’m hiking, kayaking, or just enjoying the outdoors, there’s something about creation that helps me reconnect with His presence. I also find deep connection with God through worship—it’s in those moments of stillness and praise that I feel most grounded and alive in my faith.

Outside of ministry and school, I’m an outdoorsman who loves staying active. I enjoy working out, playing basketball, and finding time to just be outside. It helps me stay balanced and focused, and it’s a big part of how I recharge physically and spiritually.

As I finish up my degree at ORU, I’m excited about what’s next. Whether in ministry, business, or both, I’m passionate about leading with integrity, serving others, and following God’s direction for my life.
