Dear Evangel North Church Family,
I’m thrilled about the message for this Sunday. It’s a word I believe we all need right now.
We’re diving into Philippians 2:14–16, where Paul says:
[Phl 2:14-16 NASB95] 14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.
This Sunday, I’m preaching: “Glow, Don’t Grumble”
Church, we’re living in dark times. Negativity, fear, and division seem to surround us every day. But God hasn’t called us to blend in. He’s called us to stand out.
The Holy Spirit wants to make your life radiant. Holiness isn’t gloom. It’s the glow of Jesus shining through you.
Here’s a little preview:
- Don’t Grumble; Glow. Complaining dims your spiritual light. Spirit-filled believers speak faith, not frustration.
- Live Blameless and Pure. Holiness is our calling and our testimony. The Spirit makes it possible.
- Hold Firmly to the Word. The Word fuels your shine. Even one verse a day keeps your flame burning bright.
- Shine Where You Are. God put you in this world to be a beacon of hope in dark places.
Family, don’t miss Sunday. This isn’t just another sermon. It’s a call from the Spirit for us to become shining lights in a world desperate for hope.
Come ready to worship, receive the Word, and be ignited to shine for Jesus like never before.

Children will learn biblical truths in a fun, safe environment, making new friends and hands-on memories to last a lifetime.
How to Prepare
Spread the Word – Invite neighbors, family, friends, co-workers.
Register – Child pre‑registration helps us staff and plan, though walk‑ins are welcome.
Volunteer – Help us make this event smooth and impactful. Roles include hospitality, kids ministry, décor, and tech.
Come Expectant – Pray for Evangelist Wessel, the VBS kids, and the Holy Spirit to move in big ways.
